New Dawn Production Facility Opens in Kansas City
(March 1979)
Pride in a new installation was clearly evident when more than a hundred employees, members of their families and friends joined in an Open House celebration for the new Dawn packing room at our Kansas City plant.
The visitors, who enjoyed a buffet dinner and guided tours throughout the plant, were favorably impressed by the new department. A cedar-paneled entrance way and modern, painted background panels reflect the success of department personnel and support groups in achieving a pleasant working atmosphere as well as an efficient layout in their design of the facility.
The open-bay building with close access to supply and shipping areas provides an almost ideal working area in an older plant (Kansas City is 75 years old this year) that does not always enjoy such advantages. The result is a spacious, cleanly designed department geared to supplying much-needed production for the continuing growth of Dawn.
